DATENSCHUTZ bei XING
With the web special “Data Protection at XING”, the Hamburg company is taking a progressive approach to addressing the topic of GDPR in relation to its platform. The aim was to provide users with more transparency about the reasons why XING collects data and further processes its content.
In close collaboration with XING, my team and I first developed the information architecture and the UX concept. As an art director, my personal challenge was to pack “dry information” into a clear, easy-to-understand interface and thus make the topic of data protection accessible to users. The animated SVG graphics, contributed by Tilo and Nils Göbel, give the whole thing an emotional touch.
We used a combination of Scrum and Kanban as project management tools. This had the great advantage that we worked very effectively as a team with the right amount of agility and at the same time clearly defined sprint goals. Regular meetings with the customer for coordination helped to always work on the basis of a consensus. This meant that the technical implementation, which was taken over by XING, could also run in parallel.
