Briefing
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is a transport and logistics company and is one of the leading representatives in this industry. Hellmann serves air and sea freight as well as road and rail freight transport as well as contract logistics.
In the past, Hellmann has developed its own complex platform through which much of the scheduling work is handled. In order to stabilize and increase the company's profitability, it is necessary to continue to develop this platform.
Implementation
With a mixed team of PMs, POs, developers, UX/UI designers and other logistics experts from the “Road” area, we have optimized various parts of the platform. The basis for this was workshops and repeated user interviews. This was the only way to understand the needs of the dispatchers and employees in the warehouse and to implement them accordingly.
A focus topic for me was relaunching the HellScan app that is used at the camps themselves. This app is used to control tasks such as loading and unloading, organize the packages to be transported and document the control of transports ready for departure.
“Thick fingers and thick gloves”. That was the motto that accompanied the UX/UI development.
