The Story

Briefing

At the start of the Covid pandemic, CENTOGENE – a company specializing in the field of genetic diagnostics for rare diseases – developed corona tests very quickly. You could buy these online and either have them sent to your home as a kit or have them tested directly at local stations. The problem, however, was that the ordering process on the original platform was very complicated and confusing.
CENTOGENE approached Silcion Pauli from Hamburg with the order to reconceptualize and design the entire order process (in various forms). The order context played an important role. When you're at an airport (stressed) because you want to either leave or enter the country, I interact with an interface differently than when I'm sitting comfortably on the sofa at home.

Implementation

In workshops we develop a basis for the user concept with the aim of making ordering the different types of tests as easy as possible.
In addition to making concept decisions, my main task was to implement the layouts (including the design system). In order to visually counteract the sobriety of the content, I designed thematic illustrations.
